Politics & HistoryWhy Do Only the Poor and Uneducated Support Casteist Parties?

Recently, Raja Bhaiya held a rally in Lucknow. A thought occurred to me to conduct a survey via social media to ascertain the backgrounds of those who attended the rally. From yesterday until today—that is, after two days of strenuous effort—I found one hundred people on Facebook who had attended Raja Bhaiya's Lucknow rally. I spoke to each of them individually in my own way. The result that emerged from these conversations left me utterly astonished.
Of those one hundred people, only 10 had studied up to intermediate and 10 up to class ten; the remaining eighty had not even studied up to the tenth standard. That is to say, on this basis you can estimate that 70 percent of the people who attended Raja Bhaiya's rally were minimally educated.
This is not merely the case with Raja Bhaiya's rally; it is the state of all casteist parties. Since I reside in Patna, my house is situated in an area of the capital where the Bypass Road lies to the south and the route to Gandhi Maidan lies to the east. Small and large rallies take place at Gandhi Maidan on a regular basis. Consequently, the main thoroughfare for those traveling to and from Gandhi Maidan is a mere 150 meters from my house.
From the appearance, attire, and speech of 80 percent of those attending Lalu Yadav's rallies, you can easily deduce that these poor souls hail from an impoverished and uneducated stratum. To comprehend just how dire the economic condition of the attendees at Lalu Yadav's rallies is, one must visit Veerchand Patel Path, where the residences of most of Lalu Prasad Yadav's MLAs are located.
After the rally concludes, meals are organized by these legislators. Each is assigned the responsibility of feeding the people from their respective constituencies. If you inspect the food prepared up close, you will exclaim: is this food fit for human consumption? Raw puris, half-cooked rice, and, in the name of a sabzi, a watery gravy with large chunks of potato.
Standing in a corner watching the restive crowd pouncing upon this substandard food, every fiber of your being will shudder. Spontaneously, your hands will rise in prayer to God, "O Lord! Deliver these wretched souls from poverty." If you wish to witness even greater destitution, you must observe the rallies of the Leftists and Naxalites.
On the other hand, when a BJP rally takes place at Gandhi Maidan, you will not discern the slightest trace of poverty in 70 percent of the party's cadre from any perspective, nor does the BJP provide meals to those who attend. Just as they arrive, they board their vehicles and depart.
Therefore, when you psychologically analyze the economic and educational levels of the cadres across all casteist parties, you will find that 70–75 percent of the workers in every casteist party are impoverished and uneducated. Yes, the percentage might decrease slightly in a given party, but it will not fall below 60 percent. This is my research-based assessment drawn from years of observing rally attendees.
Be it Lalu Yadav, Mulayam Yadav, Mayawati, Raja Bhaiya, or Ram Vilas Paswan and Hanuman Beniwal, the politics of each is casteist. For appearance's sake, all these parties claim adherence to this or that ideology, whereas the truth is that casteist parties possess neither any ideology nor any principles.
For these casteist parties, ideology is merely power, and their principle is solely the family. For the sake of power, their convictions change from moment to moment, and the principles of their party revolve exclusively around their own families. They keep the poor and gullible public duped year after year, rendering their condition worse by the day, and lay the blame upon others.
If examples are required to substantiate my argument: Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Ajit Singh, and Mayawati are all figures who became Chief Minister for the very first time solely with the support of the BJP. It was only by the grace of the BJP that these individuals got to taste power. The question arises: when you tasted power for the first time with the support of the BJP, if the BJP was good back then, how has it turned evil today? If the BJP is evil today, it was undoubtedly evil yesterday as well. In that case, you must all go before the public and apologize, admitting that becoming Chief Minister for the first time with the BJP's support was your historic blunder.
Therefore, whether it is Lalu-Mulayam, Ram Vilas or Mayawati, Hanuman Beniwal, Uddhav and Raj Thackeray, or Mamata Banerjee, the parties of all these leaders are caste- or region-based parties through which neither the comprehensive development of society nor of the state can ever be achieved, for they possess neither ideology nor principles. These individuals attain power by exploiting the sentiments of the naive, impoverished, and illiterate populace, sometimes in the name of caste, sometimes in the name of region; yet once ensconced there, they reap the spoils for themselves and bleed the masses dry. They keep them impoverished and uneducated, and when the next election arrives, they invoke caste once again.
Educated and enlightened citizens must therefore boycott these casteist parties, for upon close examination, you will find that these very casteist and regional parties are the genesis of half the problems facing this nation.
