पुरुष सूक्त The Vedas (sacred scriptures) are that Manasarovar of Sanatana (eternal) culture from whose immersion our ancestors extracted the finest of gems and jewels. The Vedas manifested upon this earth solely for the welfare of all humanity. If these foundational pillars of dharma (righteous order)—the Vedas, Upanishads, Smritis, and Puranas—were to be excised from India, what unique characteristic would remain that distinguishes it from other nations? Truly, the Vedas are the very life-breath of Bharat Mata. This is a matter that every Indian ought to ponder. This is precisely why anti-India Dushasanas have relentlessly dragged Vedamata by her hair, while the sons of the Mother themselves stand bewildered and indecisive, witnessing this abhorrent spectacle.
पुरुष सूक्त While the detractors of Sanatana Dharma attack all the Vedas, against certain suktas (hymns) they have waged an outright crusade. One such hymn is the Purusha Sukta (hymn to the Cosmic Being) of the tenth mandal (book) of the Rigveda. This sukta also appears in the 31st chapter of the Yajurveda. In this hymn, the various limbs and organs of Parabrahman (Supreme Being) are described in the form of the Virata Purusha (Cosmic Being). The strongest textual authority for the Vedic varna (social classification) system is a mantra from this very sukta, through whose distorted interpretations Western scholars like Max Müller and Griffith, along with their intellectual disciples—Leftist and Ambedkarite detractors of Sanatana Dharma—have cultivated a harvest of poison within Hindu society. That mantra is:
Which means that from the mouth of that Virata Purusha Paramatma arose the Brahmins, from His arms were made the Rajanyas (Kshatriyas), from His abdomen came the Vaishyas, and from His feet was born the Shudra. This Virata Purusha is none other than Bhagavan Vishnu Himself, as celebrated in Sanatana Dharma.
पुरुष सूक्त In the Vedic varna system, studying and teaching the Veda-shastras (canonical scriptures) is considered the attribute of Brahmins; heroism and warfare, the attribute of Kshatriyas; agriculture and commerce, the attribute of Vaishyas; and various service initiatives, physical labor, and mastery of arts and crafts, the natural duties of Shudras. It is a law of nature that whatever originates from a source inherits corresponding qualities. The limbs of the Virata Purusha from which the respective varnas are said to originate in the above mantra correspond fully with their qualities. Just as two brothers born from the womb of the same mother engage in different occupations, similarly, these varnas of Hindu dharma are categorized based on karma (duty/action). Indeed, Hindu dharma has proclaimed nothing less than '*Sodara Hindavah Sarve*' (All Hindus are brothers born of the same womb).
पुरुष सूक्त The propaganda of Leftists/Ambedkarites is that the so-called "Brahminical forces" of Sanatana Dharma deliberately described Shudras as originating from the feet in the Purusha Sukta in order to insult them. Their view is that the feet are a despicable part of the body, and association with them signifies insult; hence, Sanatana Dharma exploited Shudras by trampling them underfoot. By fabricating non-Vedic, arbitrary, and false interpretations of the Vedic mantras, they sow seeds of inferiority and hatred in the minds of Shudra Hindus. This is yet another conspiracy on their part to fracture Hindu dharma.
पुरुष सूक्त When Leftists and Neo-Buddhists belittle our uterine Hindu brothers—born from the womb of the same Vedamata—by alleging that originating from Shri Vishnu's feet renders them inferior, their flaw lies simply in this: they do not possess even the slightest understanding of Sanatana Dharma. They are ignorant of the fact that among us Hindus, it is precisely the holy feet (shri-charana) of the Supreme Lord that hold the highest significance.
पुरुष सूक्त From whom is the significance of the feet hidden in Sanatana Dharma? For us, touching the feet is the very greeting offered to anyone revered. How, then, can anyone claim that our Shudra brothers, originating from the feet, are inferior? They are manifested directly from the lotus feet of Bhagavan Vishnu Himself—that Vishnupada which is also called Mokshapada (the state of liberation). For a single particle of dust from whose lotus feet the sadhus, saints, rishis, munis, men, women, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras of Sanatana Dharma have dedicated their entire lives in divine devotion—can the Shudras manifest from those very holy feet ever be inferior?
पुरुष सूक्त Why stop at Shri Hari alone? Among Hindus, there is a tradition of touching the feet of all living beings; we offer 'Namaste' and bow down to the divine element inherent in every creature. When we prepare to honor gurus, parents, and elders, we spontaneously bow our heads at their feet. Nor is touching the feet limited to a mere touch of the hand—we offer dandavat pranam (prostration) to those we revere. In most Hindu households unaffected by Western winds, there remains the tradition of gently massaging the feet of elders while seeking their blessings, so that if those seniors have aching feet, they find relief. Gratified by this devotion, the elders shower blessings that ensure our well-being. This is the glory of the feet! Do we hate the feet? Do we consider the feet inferior? Were that so, why would we touch them? Unable to comprehend this truth, haters of Sanatana Dharma hatch conspiracies to mislead our uterine Shudra brothers born of Shri Hari's lotus feet and sever them from us.
पुरुष सूक्त Followers of Sanatana Dharma do not seek refuge in the mouth of that Virata Purusha Vishnu, nor touch His arms, nor seek the shelter of His torso; what they seek is solely the dust of His lotus feet! By this dust, the accumulated negative tendencies of births upon births are destroyed, granting liberation and eternal union (sayujya) with the Supreme Lord. The reality is that Leftists/Ambedkarites who call Shri Hari's feet inferior merely seek an excuse to sling mud at the Vedas and Sanatana Dharma; this is the ghee that fuels their anti-India asuric (demonic) yajna (sacrificial ritual).
पुरुष सूक्त Reciting '*Shri Ramachandra-charanau sharanam prapadye*' (I seek refuge in the feet of Shri Ramachandra), we seek the shelter of Shri Ram's feet; our Shudra brothers, as the eternal servants of those holy feet of Shri Ram, are even more worthy of our veneration, entitled to our service. These are the brave souls who endured everything from poverty to rebuffs, yet never turned away from their Hindu dharma. Look even today at various foot pilgrimages and Kanwar yatras—who forms the main constituent of that condensed, grand Hindutva? These very Shudra brothers! Look in all temples, look at the fairs of folk deities—you will find these Shudra brothers wholeheartedly committed to Hindu traditions. It is in their homes that you will find the greatest number of pictures of gods and goddesses.
पुरुष सूक्त The relationship between Shri Hari's feet and the Shudras is eternal. My millions of obeisances to the grand Shudra Hindu community, the living symbols of those holy feet desired by us all.
