What does the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh do and believe?
When I was young, a person gave a speech on smoking in school. That speech was so tremendous that for many years afterwards I thought smoking was the root of all the world's problems. I believed that the day smoking ended, the world would become heaven. Although that was my one-sided and incomplete conclusion. Numerous ideas are floating around in the arena for India's resurgence. Such as:-
One says that if Bhagwat Katha is propagated in the country, supreme glory will arrive. The second says the day idol worship ends, everything will be set right. The third says the day the government and administration work by consulting Adi Shankaracharya ji, everything will be fine. The fourth says the day our caste gets the primary responsibility, all the crises of the country will be resolved. The fifth says.............
There are many such opinions. And everyone feels that our view is not heeded, while the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's view is heeded. Therefore, if our conclusion, our view—which is true—is adopted by the Sangh, then the welfare of the country will happen all the sooner.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh family has become very large. Large and influential too. It has not traversed the path up to here through any shortcut or cheap popularity, but has advanced with penance and endurance. In 1925, a person felt ashamed not just to call himself a Hindu, but even to consider himself one. Reaching from there to today's time of a tremendously aggressive renaissance required great patience, restraint, and the wondrous exertion of bringing everyone along. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh proved true to this and today it commands considerable renown.
In a country like India, where real brothers sit turned away from each other for a lifetime in the name of ideas, where the colors of attire, cuisine, tradition, belief, faith, and lifestyle are so numerous that a person would get blood pressure and sugar just thinking about uniformity, the Sangh took up this Bhagirath challenge. Those who knew the goal of the Sangh and considered it "good" but "impossible" include Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar, Subhash Chandra Bose, Veer Savarkar, and Vallabhbhai Patel.
Since its infancy, the Sangh has had to endure the harassment of the wicked, and has faced the neglect, sarcasm, mockery, and jealousy of the virtuous as well. In return, the Sangh never complained to its Hindu society or compatriots. On the strength of four sets of clothes, coarse dry food, and Sangh offices in haunted ruins, it managed to convey its message to all four corners of the country, among all societies, and in all classes.
In its adolescence, it endured fierce suppression, bans, false accusations, and the elitist sarcastic barbs of "Who is this!". At a time when Sangh workers were chewing dry rotis sprinkled with water and playing kabaddi with great cheer, the Congress party held absolute sway. What is the state of that Congress today???
Bunch of Thoughts - Shri Guruji Golwalkar - Download
At a time when a middle-aged man and ten or twelve teenage boys on a ground were performing the boring and unfamiliar drills of 'daksh-aaram' at its shakha, the Arya Samaj, Hindu Mahasabha, religious mahapeeths, large royal households, and lofty religious institutions that had started earlier were so capable and powerful that, had they wished, they could have easily turned the current of the country; yet all of them became enfeebled in politics or other material squabbles.
During the youth of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, even 40-50 years ago, the situation was such that a district had two to five shakhas and a team of fifteen to twenty workers. Compare that time to today. Hindu society was not even ready to believe that any deception had been played upon it.
In 1990, when I was a shakha karyavah and went to a district-level education officer so that he would preside over the Rakshabandhan program, I made a request to him. He looked at my age, which must have been 15 years. Then, in very sweet words, he gave me a one-hour speech on how I should stay away from such useless things and focus on my studies to serve my widowed mother. Like the elderly Munshi—the father of the protagonist in Premchand's story 'Namak ka Daroga'—he showed me numerous temptations and offered a great deal of worldly, valuable advice. And finally, regarding his refusal to come to the program, he spoke as if I were a released criminal from jail who had come to ask him to commit dacoity.
You can imagine what the situation was like!
Today, that education officer's grandson eagerly shares my posts. He has understood many things without anyone having to tell him. The very things that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh used to say and which the entire civilized society dismissed as "thin air and empty talk," today non-Sangh people can be seen raising and explaining even more than the Sangh does. In 2005, everyone rejected something like Love Jihad; today every person has become familiar with this conspiracy. When Dilip Kumar alias Yusuf died, there was less grief and more celebration.
The Sangh, meaning the RSS, did not stop upon completing one milestone; it commenced work on the next. Today, almost the entire Hindu society understands the subjects of societal awakening. Numerous swayamsevaks have reached high positions in the government. People's expectations have also increased. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh never imposes anything from its side. It does not believe in forcing its will.
The arbitrariness of no organization, individual, or group will prevail. If arbitrariness prevails, it will be solely and exclusively that of Hindu society.
In this matter, the line of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is absolutely clear. Society itself is Ishwar. The collective of Hindu society is Brahman. Talking is easy; for practical action, collectivism is required, sociality is required, and the habit of behaving with samrasta has to be cultivated from habit. Discipline must be learned, and for that, daily penance is required.
Over the past ten years, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has created such a fearless environment that you can present your view with truth. There is someone named Indumati Katdare; she has done extremely effective work on Indian education. All on her own strength. YouTuber Shri Neeraj Atri has done unprecedented work in understanding Islam. The late Rajiv Dixit has left behind a lot on swadeshi. Swami Ramdev has set an example on the Indianization of businesses. Pushpendra Kulshrestha has offered wondrous reflection on Hindu-centric politics. Shankar Sharan has provided transcendental instruction on shatru bodh and self-defense. Rajiv Malhotra has done the work of Hindutva in the academic world. At the governmental level, long-standing issues like Article 370 and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi have been resolved. A great deal of work, conclusions, and initiatives are continuously underway in a silent manner. Hindu society will reap the benefit of all this.
Providing an environment is a very big thing. What is right and what is wrong should be decided by society and its intellectuals alone. Deliberate. Agitate and churn. Think while keeping national interest in mind and rising above transient selfish motives. Whatever amrita emerges will be established. Whatever society decides will come to pass. Rest assured, only what the Hindu desires will happen. होइहे सोई जो राम रचि राखा।।
Dedicate your contemplation to Rama, welfare will surely follow.
It is certain that we are about to reach the very edge. There is no room for despair; the nation's ascent to supreme glory is certain, there is no doubt about this. The entire society will create an environment in which the filth of all vices will be washed away, and Bharat—the Hindu Rashtra, endowed with supreme glory and supreme strength, possessing the eligibility to occupy the seat of Vishwaguru—will be built. It is inevitable. No one can stop this....

Yudhishthira: Sovereign Emperor and Builder of Hindu Rashtra
Given the controversies often seen regarding Yudhishthira and others, we must look to the Mahabharata itself to determine whether Yudhishthira and the other Pandavas were powerful in their own right and embodiments of dharma (righteousness), or if, according to modern propaganda, they were merely dependent on the mercy of Shri Krishna. For the sages repeatedly call him Dharmaraj, and their words cannot be false.
