Shri Guruji Golwalkar on the Dangerous Christian Character

Mudit Agrawal · English edition 23 October 2026 · Hindi original 14 October 2020 · 4 min read

As far as Christians are concerned, to a superficial observer, they appear not only completely harmless but indeed the very embodiment of love and sympathy for humanity. Their speeches are filled with words like 'service' and 'upliftment of humanity'. And from them, it appears as if the Almighty has specially appointed them for the elevation of mankind. Everywhere they run schools, colleges, hospitals, and orphanages. The people of our country, who are simple and gullible, begin to believe these things.

But what is the real and innermost objective of Christians in pouring crores of rupees into all these activities?

Our late President Dr. Rajendra Prasad once visited Assam. He saw those schools and hospitals which Christian missionaries had established in those hilly regions, and expressed his satisfaction with all those works. But in the end, he also advised, "Undoubtedly you have done very good work, but do not use these things for the purpose of conversion." But the missionary who spoke after him said in plain words, "If we were motivated to do this solely by the promotion of humanity, why would we come so far? Why would we spend so much money? We have come here for one sole purpose: to increase the number of followers of our Lord Jesus."

Christians are extremely clear on this subject. They believe that for this goal, every means, no matter how improper, is justified. The various mysterious and petty tactics they employ for conversion are well known to everyone. Many prominent Christian missionaries have often declared unambiguously that their sole objective is to make this country a province of the Kingdom of Christ. According to a report in Madras's 'Vedanta Kesari', the Archbishop of Madurai has said that his main objective is to hoist the flag of Christ over the whole of India.

What does all this mean? It means that the entire population of the country must be converted to Christianity, that is, their lineage must be merged into the global federation of Christianity.

Lokmanya Tilak has quoted St. Paul, the great disciple of Christ, in his 'Gita Rahasya'. He too says to God, "If through my falsehood your (God's) glory is increased, how can that be a sin?" It is no wonder that current Christian missionaries have fully utilized this statement of his to advance their conspiracies. It has been rightly said that there was only one true Christian in the world, and he died on the cross.

Their activities are not only irreligious, but also anti-national. Once I asked a Christian missionary why they slander our sacred scriptures and deities. He replied clearly, "Our goal is to shake and cast out the faith of the Hindu in his religion from his heart. When this faith of his is demolished, his nationhood will also be destroyed. A vacuum will be created in his mind. Then it will be easy for us to fill that vacuum with Christianity."

Such is the role of the Christian gentlemen residing in our country. They are not only striving to destroy the religious and social fabric of our lives here, but also wish to establish political power in various regions and, if possible, over the entire country. Indeed, wherever they have set foot, this has been their role. And they have done all this under the attractive garb of bringing peace and brotherhood among mankind under the shadow of the divine wings of Jesus Christ. Jesus had told his followers to give away everything to the poor, the ignorant, and the downtrodden, but what did his followers do in practice? Wherever they went, they proved to be not 'givers of blood' but 'bloodsuckers'. What has been the fate of all those countries where these so-called followers of Christ have established their colonies?
