'Shri Vedavyasa Puja Paddhati' - Book Introduction

व्यासाय विष्णुरूपाय व्यासरूपाय विष्णवे । नमो वै ब्रह्मनिधये वासिष्ठाय नमो नमः ॥

In the Sanatana tradition as expounded in the Vedas and Puranas, the observance of Vyasa Puja (Guru Puja) is prescribed on the day of Ashadha Purnima, for according to the dharmashastras, Shri Krishna Dwaipayana Vedavyasa appeared on Ashadha Purnima itself. Among the authors, expanders, and disseminators of all shastras endowed with Vedic knowledge, Bhagavan Vedavyasa holds the foremost place. "व्यासोच्छिष्टं जगत्सर्वम्" (All knowledge and sciences in the universe are the remnants left by Vyasa)—the entire corpus of knowledge and science in the world has emanated from the very lips of Bhagavan Vedavyasa. He is Vishnu incarnate. Shri Krishna and Vedavyasa are non-different. Through him, the general populace has been blessed with the opportunity to follow the all-auspicious Sanatana Dharma.

However, in the absence of an authoritative text for an independent ritual method of worshipping Vedavyasa on Guru Purnima (that is, Vyasa Purnima) or other auspicious occasions, it was difficult for ordinary Sanatanis to perform the proper ritual worship of Vedavyasa, which is why merely symbolic worship became more prevalent among the people. Under such circumstances, there was an urgent need for a text enabling Sanatana Dharma followers to perform proper ritual worship on occasions such as Vyasa Purnima.

To fulfill the aforementioned need, the commendable work of editing a scriptural short treatise containing diverse subjects titled *Shri Vedavyasa Puja Paddhati* has been undertaken by Pandit Gangadharji Pathak, a worshipper of the Go-mata characterized by the Vedas and a profound scholar of the Vedas, Puranas, and other shastras.

This book, 'Shri Vedavyasa Puja Paddhati', complete with the detailed ritual worship procedures of Bhagavan Maharshi Vedavyasa, is supremely useful.

Purnavatara Bhagavan Shri Krishna: Dharma and Rasalila

Krishnapaksha (dark fortnight of the lunar month)! On top of that, ashtami (eighth lunar day)! And that too during dakshinayana (southern transit of the sun)! Only a purnavatara (complete incarnation) can bear this, and make it auspicious! In a mahayuga (great epoch), there are ten avataras (incarnations) of Shri Vishnu, of which only three are purnavataras. Out of those three, only Krishnavatara (incarnation of Krishna) is meant for two yugas (epochs)—Dwapara (the third age) and Kali (the dark age), because in Kaliyuga...

Yudhishthira's Dyuta: The Esoteric Vedic Akshavidya

It is wrong to call Dharmaraja Yudhishthira a gambler. How many times in his life did Dharmaraja Yudhishthira play dyuta (the traditional game of dice)? How many times must one play to be called a vyasani (addict)? It is also wrong to call dyutavidya (the science of dice) gambling. Why did Dharmaraja Yudhishthira have to learn dyutavidya from a rishi (seer)? Why was no teacher to be found other than a rishi? Shaku...

Yudhishthira: Sovereign Emperor and Builder of Hindu Rashtra

Given the controversies often seen regarding Yudhishthira and others, we must look to the Mahabharata itself to determine whether Yudhishthira and the other Pandavas were powerful in their own right and embodiments of dharma (righteousness), or if, according to modern propaganda, they were merely dependent on the mercy of Shri Krishna. For the sages repeatedly call him Dharmaraj, and their words cannot be false.
